Authorizing the Application for a State Municipal Flood Control Grant for a Municipal Flood Control Grant-eligible Project
Body
WHEREAS, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District is qualified, willing, and able to carry out all activities described in the State grant application for Municipal Flood Control; and
WHEREAS, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District will allow employees from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources access to inspect grant project sites; and
WHEREAS, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District will maintain records documenting all expenditures made during the Municipal Flood Control Grant Project; and
WHEREAS, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District will submit a final report to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources which describes all Municipal Flood Control Grant project activities, achievements, data collected, and documents of the project costs.
RESOLVED, by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage Commission, that the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District requests the funds and assistance available from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under the Municipal Flood Control Grant Program and will comply with State rules for the program.
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage Commission, that the Executive Director is authorized to submit a grant application on behalf of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to the State of Wisconsin for financial aid for municipal flood control protection purposes and to sign necessary documents.
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage Commission, that the Executive Director either has approval authority or will request approval from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage Commission for the purchase of the properties listed in the Municipal Flood Control grant application upon award of the grant funding.
